Merry Christmas everyone!

I hosted Christmas dinner here for the second year in a row. It was supposed to be the third but the first one was interrupted by my son arriving 2 months early to wish us a Merry Christmas! It was pretty well, I did the "Pioneer woman cooks" brining thing, and roasted it upside down for the first half then flipped it over for the second (picture my little sister, myself and my 80 year old gramma holing a spatula, a knife and a BBQ poker respectively, trying to turn a 20 pound very hot turkey. Wish I had a picture.(

Plus she has super awesome, tested! in a real kitchen!, recipes that work!

Anyways, Christmas was cool, Ty just turned 2 so he really "got" the whole thing. Ripped through those presents, said "please" and "thank you" consistently and was super defensive of his new toys with his cousins :)

He got a train table as his "big gift". We always go up to Chapters so I can get starbucks and some  magazines, and so Ty can play with the Thomas train table. We went with Imaginarium though, as it was approximately 500.00 less than Thomas. Plus it came with everything, makes sounds (ugh) and he LOVES it. He also got a the rest of his bedroom set (Mammut from Ikea) so super cool and kid friendly and FUN! I also recommend.

Long post but... I'll be picking a winner here for the flower RAK within the next day or so. The referral "contest" is still running, you refer someone to buy a kit, and YOU get a free kit. It makes it a little easier on me if I can send both in the same package, but I am willing to compromise on that if needed.

I put a little widget on the left hand side that leads you into how to buy this kit. It's going for 40.00US  which is almost HALF the retail value! If there were a few kits you wanted but never did get around to purchasing then this is the one for you! Design Team announcements!

Just as a reminder to everyone waiting that the new Design team will be posted tomorrow morning 12am PST. Thank you all so much to everyone who applied!

Because I had some a hard time choosing (so so so many talented ladies out there!) there are actually 6!!!!! being added to our team for a 4 month term.

I also have picked out 6 ladies to become our next guest designers and even MORE to be on my special team ( which clearly needs a cool name, RAK to anyone who suggests something I can live with)

The special team is something I can up with to help showcase some of my favorite applications. They'll be contacted that their on this "team" and will receive random packages every once in awhile to create with. They never know when one might show up! This way we get as many people as possible to join in! Check back tomorrow to see our new team!

This post is a little more "heavy" than what is normally lighthearted chatter and sneak peeks.

In doing the December kits, there was a moment of non-judgment on my part and Kim Sonsenken was not properly credited for the design of "Take me Away".  Understandably, she was a little taken aback and rightfully so. It's always hard when someone promises something and does another. So to you Kim, a huge "I'm Sorry!"

Please understand that I am only human too, and this kit club is SO much more time-consuming and complex that I had originally anticipated it would be. Please feel free to point out anything i have/am doing wrong and know that I appreciate such feedback.

The new kits for December are up now at www.freshpagesco.com . The "Sugar Plum Fairy" and "Take me Away" kits are super cool and STUFFED with delightful goodies designed to make scrapbooking even more enjoyable than it already is. Magic I tell ya. Magic.

In other news..

Design team applications are now over. We received app. 150 from all over the world, and will have a difficult time choosing. We've got a little bit of a surprise in store for that. Plus the giveaway is still open for a few more days just leave a comment. And the FREE KIT with any purchase is still available, even for December kits.
